Photowalk Sat 18th – Vogel Street Party

On Saturday 18 between 3pm and 10pm, Vogel Street (from Queen’s Garden to Jetty Street) will be closed to traffic and will take on a carnival atmosphere. Musicians, street performers, opportunities to play and create, and food vendors will beckon the public to come and enjoy the family friendly pedestrian space.

Many buildings throughout the Warehouse Precinct will open their doors for the public to view their transformed interiors. The streetscape will be illuminated at night. The Vogel Street, Street Party adds great community colour to the closing weekend of the Arts Festival.

We plan to make this into one of our monthly photowalks, so we’ll be meeting at the Cenotaph at 3pm and going to the street party for a couple of hours before meeting up again for a drink. See you all there!

Judging of the 45th Dunedin Festival of Photography took place on Saturday 27th September and the results have been emailed to all entrants. Congratulations to everyone who had images accepted and those who received awards. We had a large number of entries and overall the standard was high. We cannot accept everything and many good images had to be rejected; if you did not succeed this year we encourage you to enter again next year.

The accepted prints and a slideshow of accepted projected images will be exhibited at the Dunedin Community Gallery from Tues 21st – Mon 27th October. There will be an official opening on Monday 20th, with invitations to be emailed to entrants shortly.
